Viya announced Saturday morning that due to the passing of Tropical Storm Fiona, its operations throughout the territory will be closed on today.
Viya said continues to advise its employees and customers that in the event of a severe storm, hurricane, natural or man-made disaster, to tune in to local media to stay abreast of weather conditions and updates from the company. Also visit Viya on Facebook for updates here.
"Although the offices are closed, Viya would like to advise customers that they can conduct transactions, at their convenience, using Viya’s online customer care and payment portal: www.viya.vi, the company said.
Customers are also reminded that in the event of the loss of commercial power, they may plug their modem into an alternate power source to continue to receive service.
In the wake of a disaster, customers should refrain from moving or cutting downed lines on their property or in the vicinity of their homes because they may be active power lines, telephone lines or cable TV lines. To report downed lines or any other Viya service-related issues, customers can contact Viya’s representatives after the storm by calling (340)777-Viya (8492).
Viya will resume normal office hours on Monday, September 19, 2022.
