Petra Carbon George has launched Kianna’s Lemonade Goal, the first book in her Smart Money Kiddos Series, a children’s book collection designed to introduce young readers to financial literacy through relatable stories and practical lessons. Intended for children ages 6 to 16, the series is built around helping young people understand how money works, how to set and reach financial goals, how to avoid unnecessary debt, and how to think entrepreneurially.

According to the author’s materials, the series grew out of George’s reflection on her own early adulthood and her belief that a stronger foundation in financial literacy would have helped her make more informed decisions and begin building generational wealth earlier in life.

That realization led her to create a series that uses real-life situations and practical solutions to make financial concepts accessible and meaningful for children. The materials also state that, as a mother, George views the series as a way to lead by example with her own children by showing that the methods and principles presented in the books are practical, effective, and achievable in real life.

The series is designed to teach the value of saving money, the importance of goal setting, and life skills including confidence, responsibility, and creativity. It is intended for children, families, and classroom settings.

According to the materials, each book also includes activities and key financial literacy vocabulary after the story to help children begin their financial learning journey.

Kianna’s Lemonade Goal follows a young girl who loves playing soccer with her friends. Running fast and kicking hard makes her feel happy and strong. When their soccer ball goes flat, Kianna does not give up. Instead, she comes up with a plan to reach her goal.

With help from her friends, she starts a lemonade stand to earn money for a new soccer ball. Along the way, she learns about saving, making good choices, and helping others. The story is intended to show that teamwork, patience, and determination can turn small ideas into meaningful accomplishments.

The book is the first installment in the Smart Money Kiddos Series, with six additional books currently in development.

According to the materials, each title in the series is inspired by and named after one of George’s children. The next release is expected to be Keyshun Counts His Coins.

The materials state that Kianna’s Lemonade Goal is available on Amazon for $10.99, plus $5.99 shipping. Copies can also be purchased directly from the author on St. Croix by calling or messaging 340-423-7502, at a price of $13.00.
