Adlah Donastorg And Stacey Plaskett Have Endorsed Albert Bryan For Governor

News / Virgin Islands / November 18, 2018

Adlah Donastorg has endorsed Albert Bryan for governor, so too has Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett, the campaign said in a release issued Saturday. The endorsements add further momentum to a team that has been on the receiving end of support of respected individuals in the community.

“I truly believe that Albert Bryan has the temperament to actually govern in the Virgin Islands,” Mr. Donastorg, a former gubernatorial candidate in this year’s race, said. “He has the temperament to unite people, the temperament to forge forward and to bring the Virgin Islands to a better place in Virgin Islands history.”

In a video message, Ms. Plaskett said her desire is to work with someone “who will be inclusive, transparent, who understands our roles, is willing to listen and accept constructive criticism and advice. “I am supporting Albert Bryan as our next governor because I believe he will be that person,” she said.

The November 20 Runoff Election is quickly approaching, and both gubernatorial teams have been relentless in their efforts to carry the majority of votes on Tuesday. Voters, determined to make their voices heard, have been braving the elements and standing in long lines to vote early. According to the Election System of the Virgin Islands, 3,469 Virgin Islanders casted ballots on Saturday: 1,579 on St. Croix, 1,1710 on St. Thomas, and 180 in St John. Today is the last day of early voting before the runoff.
