Dept. of Education Announces 2025–2026 Start Times and Breakfast Service in Push to Elevate Excellence Territory-Wide

High schools start at 7:40 AM, junior high at 7:20–8:00 AM, K–8 and elementary at 8:00–8:30 AM, with dismissal ranging from 2:25–3:30 PM across St. Croix and St. Thomas–St. John. Breakfast served 30 minutes before school; staff onsite for supervision.

The V.I. Department of Education has formally released school start and end times for the 2025–2026 academic year across both the St. Croix and St. Thomas–St. John districts, while emphasizing its district-wide commitment to punctuality, innovation, and excellence in education.

Under the banner theme “Igniting Innovation. Elevating Excellence,” the department welcomed back students, families, and staff with messages of encouragement for a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement.

Students are reminded that breakfast will be served 30 minutes before the official start of school, and all are encouraged to begin the day with a nutritious meal. Staff and paraprofessionals will be present on campus to support student supervision during that time.
