It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jaime “Jimmy” Torres, at the age of 82. He passed away peacefully in Montgomery, TX, on March 28, 2025, lovingly surrounded by his family.
Jaime was a proud Crucian born in Frederiksted, St. Croix. Like many, he migrated to New York City and had the foresight to come back to raise his young family on his beautiful island. He was an extraordinary father, devoted husband, cherished uncle, loyal friend, and loving brother.
He was preceded in death by his Mother: Goloma Maldonado; Father: Damaso Torres; Siblings: Felipe Garcia, Hector Matos, and Louie Avila. Sister-in-law: Dora Quinones; Daughter-in-law: Sharon Torres; and Nephew: Paul Quinones He is survived by his wife: Miguelina Torres; Daughters: Lisa Torres Chico and Diane Lisette Todman; Son: Phillip James Torres; Son-In-Laws: Robert Todman and Moises Chico; Grandchildren: Jolene Moran Todman, Jarryd Anthony Todman, Eboni Monet Torres, Justin Romelo Torres, Philip Seymour, Anthony Seymour, Messi Joseph Chico, and Giovanni Torres; Grandchildren-In-Laws: Abigail Todman and Wilmid Torres; Great-grandchildren: Asja Torres, Elijah Mehir Mowatt, Jace Anthony Todman, Israel Malachi Torres, Elliot Storm Torres, Esme Sunan Todman, Zora May Torres, and Ezekiel CJ Germain; Sisters: Ana Gonzalez and Rose Martinez; Brothers: Damaso Torres, Julio Torres, and Raymond Matos; Sister-in-laws: Diana Garcia, Arlene Matos, and Angela Morales; Brother-in-law: Maximo Garcia, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lighthouse City Church in Port St. Lucie, FL, on May 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., to thank God for his life and share the wonderful memories we hold of him.
