Seaborne In New Partnership With United Airlines

News / Virgin Islands / September 30, 2014

Seaborne Airlines today announced a new interline agreement with United Airlines that will provide customers with convenient connections between the networks of the two carriers.

As part of the partnership, customers can now purchase a single ticket for United and Seaborne Airlines services, check baggage at origination to final destination, and gain access to connecting flights at the Luis Munoz Marin Airport in San Juan, PR, according to a statement issued by Seaborne Airlines.

In addition, Seaborne Airlines recently completed enhancements at its seaplane operations on both St. Croix and St. Thomas. St. Croix passengers may now purchase food and beverages from a sandwich shop, as well as await arrivals and departures underneath tents and on benches. A trailer was also set up for St. Croix maintenance workers and a new dock was constructed on St. Thomas.

“Seaborne Airlines will carry over 200,000 customers into, out of and between the US Virgin Islands this year,” said Gary Foss, president and CEO of Sea Star, the parent company for Seaborne Airlines Virgin Islands, Inc. “We are honored to play such an important role in transporting people and packages.”
