Four Shot, 1 Dead During Thursday Night Shooting

ST. CROIX — Four men were shot during a Thursday night shooting in Estate Catherine’s Rest, with one of the four individuals succumbing to gunshot wounds sustained during the incident, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.

The call notifying the 911 emergency call center of the shooting came in at about 7:42 p.m. Shortly thereafter the Juan F. Luis Hospital contacted police stating that three gunshot victims had walked into the emergency room for treatment.

Mr. Dratte said the three men sustained gunshot wounds in various parts of the body.

A fourth victim, identified as 23-year-old Akido Parrilla, sustained a gunshot wound to the head and succumbed to his injuries at 10:44 p.m. Mr. Parrilla was identified by family members.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau tip line at 469 475 3871, or send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers USVI here.
