Senators who make up the 33rd Legislature during a session on Monday approved more Gov. Albert Bryan nominees, along with persons to serve on the Virgin Islands Board of Nurse Licensure, the Board of Licensed Counselors and Examiners, as well as the Horse Racing Commission.
The senators approved the nominations of Kimberley Causey-Gomez as commissioner of the Department of Human Services; Colonel Kodjo Knox-Limbacker as Adjutant General of the Virgin Islands National Guard; Calvert White as commissioner for the Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation; and Raymond Williams as director of the Virgin Islands Lottery.
The senators also voted favorably for the nominations of Dr. Vincentia Paul-Constantin and Tamara Mohammed to serve as licensed professional counselors on the Board of Licensed Counselors and Examiners. Hugo Hodge, Jr. and Shane Benjamin were approved to serve as members of the Virgin Islands Horse Racing Commission for the St. Thomas-St. John district.
Additionally, the senators took favorable action on the nominations of Janette Bowers to serve as a licensed practical nurse on the Virgin Islands Board of Nurse Licensure; Ophelia Powell-Torres to serve as nurse educator on the VIBNL, and Patricia Towal to serve as a licensed professional counselor on the Board of Licensed Counselors and Examiners.
