ST. CROIX — The Committee to Elect Soraya Diase Coffelt for governor announced on Monday an event set for today where Ms. Coffelt will make known her choice for lieutenant governor.

The reveal will happen at Ms. Coffelt’s campaign headquarters at 498 Estate Strawberry on St. Croix at 4:00 p.m.

“Tuesday will be an exciting day for me and the people of the Virgin Islands. The selection of my lieutenant governor candidate represents the first important step in building a team of experts who will help me implement my V.I. First Plan and get the Virgin Islands moving toward accomplishing a grand vision to become the economic leader and powerhouse in the Caribbean and the number 1 place to live, work, and visit in the Caribbean,” Ms. Coffelt said.

The candidate will introduce her pick shortly after 4:00 p.m. and then her running mate will speak briefly, according to the release. Both will make themselves available to answer questions from the media immediately afterwards.

The event will be carried live on The Consortium’s Facebook platform.
