Accused Of Raping Two Minors, 63-Year-Old Man Is Jailed Pending Hearing

ST. CROIX — Police on Monday arrested a 63-year-old man based on two rape accusations levied against him by female minors, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Thursday.

Mr. Dratte said that on June 16, 2017, a minor female reported that Claudio Castro Cruz, above, was molesting and sexually assaulting her from 2013, which she said continued for approximately two years.

Another minor female recently came forward and alleged that Mr. Cruz had molested her as well from the age of 5, which continued for two years, she said.

Mr. Cruz was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated rape, according to Mr. Dratte. The arrest was executed based on a warrant issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
