Approximately 44 customers on a portion of St. Thomas Feeder 6B will experience an electrical service interruption beginning at 5:00 p.m. today, WAPA has announced. The service interruption is necessary to facilitate work on the Main Street Enhancement Project, according to the utility. Customers on Raadets, Nye and Tolbod Gades will be affected as will some customers in Riise’s Alley. The work is expected to be completed by midnight.
On Tuesday, May 22, approximately 27 customers on Feeder 6A will experience an electrical service interruption from 9 am – 2 pm while crews make permanent repairs to the electric grid in the Fortuna area. Crews will be performing line re-conducting on some primary lines in the area.
Also on Tuesday, some 19 customers on a portion of St. Thomas Feeder 9C will experience a service interruption from 10 am – 1 pm while crews carry out permanent repairs to the distribution system, including the installation of replacement transformers.
WAPA apologized for the inconvenience caused by the service interruptions. The Authority continues efforts to rebuild a stronger electric grid by which to provide reliable service to its customers.
