WAPA Appoints Anthony Thomas as Chief Administrative Officer

The Water and Power Authority has announced the appointment of former board member Anthony Thomas as its new chief administrative officer. Speaking on the appointment, WAPA CEO Karl Knight stated, “Anthony Thomas brings a proven track record of operational excellence and transformative leadership to WAPA. His extensive experience in both government and private sectors, as well as his familiarity with the policies and processes of WAPA, will be invaluable.” The appointment was ratified during a board meeting on Thursday, with four board members voting in favor, including Cheryl Boynes-Jackson, board chairman Hubert Turnbull, Juanita R. Young and Maurice Muia. Board member Kyle Fleming abstained. Mr. Thomas is most notably known for his role at the Department of Property and Procurement as commissioner.
