Liberty VI has announced plans to accelerate restoration work along Queen Mary Highway in St. Croix as part of its Fiber to the Home (FTTH) initiative. The project, aimed at providing high-speed internet access to homes and businesses across the territory, is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The restoration project involves sealing an existing 1,400-foot trench line, starting at the Paradise Road intersection and extending west along Queen Mary Highway. Work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and is expected to cause minimal disruption. However, drivers should anticipate delays due to lane and partial road closures and are advised to exercise caution when navigating the narrow roadways. The work will be carried out by PMRG, the project’s contractor.

The FTTH initiative represents a major effort by Liberty VI to enhance connectivity throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands. Once completed, the project will deliver high-speed internet to residential and commercial customers, improving access to critical services and boosting the region’s digital infrastructure.

Liberty VI encourages residents to stay informed about upcoming work through updates on its website, where details about future construction sites and schedules will be posted to help drivers plan their commutes.
