The V.I. Department is set to host its Third Annual Trunk or Treat Halloween event today, October 26, at the Sunshine Mall (Mall of St. Croix). The event, scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., invites children and families to a free, community-focused Halloween celebration featuring food, treats, and entertainment.
The event on St. Thomas, which was scheduled to take place at the West Indian Company, has been canceled, according to VIPD Director of Communications Glen Dratte, who cited unforeseen circumstances.
On St. Croix, attendees can look forward to music by DJ Genius and Mr. Energy, as well as family-friendly attractions including bounce houses, a haunted house, and plenty of treats for children. The VIPD said it organizes such events to bring families together for a “spooktacular” Halloween experience.
Numerous community organizations and government agencies will also be present to support the festivities, which aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for young attendees. The VIPD encouraged families across the island to join and enjoy an afternoon of Halloween excitement.
