Nidia Esther Millette passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at a hospice facility in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother Luz “Lucy” Maria Rodriguez; her uncles Jose “Hector” Perez, Jamie “Jimmy” Perez, Reuben Perez; her aunts Aida Perez and Gladys Perez; and her brother Jose “Tony” Perez.
Nidia is survived by her father Jose Perez, her mother Carmelina Perez, and her stepmother Amanda Perez; her beloved husband Christopher Millette; and her children Carissa Millette, Shelley Millette, Julian Laplace, and Rhalina Ramon. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Rhalina Laplace, Rheanna Laplace, Alana Ramon, Andrea Laplace, and Jalen Laplace.
Her memory lives on through her siblings: Yadira Tirado, Gladys Perez, Miguel Perez, Felix Ortiz, Orisa Mathieu, Khary Bentick, Wilfredo Perez, Jose “Junito” Perez Jr., Walkidia Paulino, and Carmen Perez.
Nidia is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews: Noel Tirado, Izabelle Tirado, Sabrina Tirado, Wilfredo Perez Jr., Jahmil Perez, Jhordae E. Perez, Lynda Perez, Shanice Perez, Jesenia Perez, Jose Perez Jr., Jose Perez III, Antonio Perez, Cheanun Perez, Naisha Navarro, Yaritza Navarro, Elliot Navarro, Jean Navarro, Trudy Perez, Carmen “Betty” Perez, Ashley Perez, Kristina Perez, and Sabrina Perez, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to name.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Free Will Baptist Church on St. Croix. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
