St. Thomas Man Stabbed to Death, Suspect in Custody

ST. THOMAS — A man was stabbed to death Tuesday night in the vicinity of the Estate Frydenhoj ball park in St Thomas, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.

Last night at about 8:57 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of an unresponsive male in the area of the ballpark. On the scene were emergency medical technicians who concluded that the male, who appeared to have sustained a stab wound to his upper body, did not have any vital signs.

The victim has been identified by next of kin as Mendel Felix.

Suspect captured 

Around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, police arrested Kyan Crooke, age 32 of Estate Frydenhoj and charged him with voluntary manslaughter.

Unable to make bail of $125,000, Crooke was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing, according to Mr. Derima.
