Department of Human Services Reminding Food Stamp Customers to Keep Appointments

The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services, Division of Family Assistance, is in the process of preparing for the closing of calendar year 2019, and is reminding all clientele of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – formerly known as Food Stamps – of the following:

1.     Keep scheduled appointments to help avoid interruption to your benefits.

2.     Bring all necessary documents to your appointment so that your application can be processed quickly. Documents may include:

 

Proof of Identity

Proof of citizenship.

Social Security Card

Proof of income

Rent receipt or lease

Utility bills

Child support payment information

W2 form, if self-employed

Child-care receipts

 

3.     Provide current address and telephone numbers.
