Rosetta Horsford-Stevens Appointed as Port Director on St. Croix

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced today the appointment of Rosetta Horsford-Stevens as the Port Director for St. Croix.

“Mrs. Horsford-Stevens experience, operational background and leadership skills make her well suited for this key management position,” stated Todd Bellew, Area Port director for the US Virgin Islands.  “I am certain that she will protect and serve the St. Croix community in a very professional way.

Mrs. Horsford-Stevens has over 20 years of law enforcement experience with U. S. Customs & Border Protection and the U.S. Customs Service.  In 1991, she started her career in the U.S. Customs Service as a secretary at the Port of St. Croix.  In 1996, she became a Customs Inspector in the Port of St. Croix. 

In 2004, she was promoted to the position of Supervisory CBP Officer in St. Thomas, USVI and later returned to St. Croix in the same capacity. 

She holds a bachelor of science degree from Excelsior College and master of arts in communication and leadership studies from Gonzaga University. 

CBP has a complex mission at ports of entry with broad law enforcement authorities tied to screening all foreign visitors, returning American citizens and imported cargo that enters the U.S. at more than 300 land, air and sea ports.
