ST. THOMAS — A man was stabbed in the area of the Tap & Still bar in St. Thomas just after midnight Sunday, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has confirmed to the Consortium. The man told police he was sitting on the left side of Tap & Still facing a parking lot when the stabbing occurred.
He also told police that he did not know who stabbed him, and it was not until a woman shouted, “you got stabbed,” that he looked down and noticed that his shirt was stained with blood.
Police were not clear on whether there was an altercation that led to the incident, and Mr. Dratte said he needed more details before commenting further.
After the stabbing, a V.I.P.D. Medic Special Operations Unit assisted the victim and transported him to the Schneider Regional Medical Center, according to police.
