According to police, on Saturday at approximately 9:15 p.m., V.I.P.D. officers were notified of the incident, which resulted in the death of 59-year-old Sandra Williams.
Deputy Chief David Cannonier reminded motorists to be mindful of pedestrians walking the streets. “Please be careful and be mindful and aware of pedestrians when operating your motor vehicles,” he said.
Ms. Williams had been known to frequent the Market Square area, Mr. Caesar said.
