Roach Announces Additional Online Services For Division Of Corporations And Trademarks

Business / News / Virgin Islands / May 22, 2019

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach on Wednesday announced additional online services available for the Division of Corporations and Trademarks Catalyst System. The launch of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) module, announced during a press conference held at Mr. Roach’s office in St. Thomas today, is now available to receive and process electronic filings on par with any other jurisdiction.

The module was developed by the division’s consultant, Foster Moore US LLC, and will allow registered users to: file UCC financing statements, information statements, and amendments, request copies of filings (plain or certified), perform UCC information requests, and pay all fees electronically.

“I am pleased that beginning today, the business community can utilize the website www.corporationsandtrademarks.vi.gov to file their documents and submit payments for the business entity and UCC registries completely online in the Catalyst system 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week,” the lieutenant governor said.

“This is an exciting moment for business here and on the larger scale for our economy. It makes doing business with the Territory that much easier. You can transact business with us wherever you are in the world and have access to the Internet,” he added.

In both district offices, the Division of Corporations and Trademarks will have kiosks available for customer use, Mr. Roach’s office said. There is also a revised UCC fee listing that is available on the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s website at www.ltg.gov.vi.  Business and trade name owners are reminded of the June 30, 2019 filing and payment due date to remain in a status of Active/In good Standing to conduct business in the Territory.

For additional information, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s Division of Corporations and Trademarks can be reached on St. Thomas at 340-774-2991 and on St. Croix at 340-773-6449.
