Polling Places For Reapportionment Voting Announced

The polling places for the March 30 Reapportionment Initiative vote have been announced by the Election System of the Virgin Islands. The initiative’s aim is to restructure the legislature from two separate legislative districts into five, with the legislature continuing with 15 senators: 9 district senators and 6 at-large senators.

The polling places are:

St. Thomas-St. John District

Charles W. Turnbull Library Poll: This polling place will serve Ivanna Eudora Kean, Joseph Gomez, Bertha C. Boschulte, Charles Turnbull precincts.

Lockhart Elementary School Poll: This polling place will serve the Charlotte Amalie High School Gym, Oswald Harris Court, Winston Raymo Center and Joseph Sibilly precincts.

The University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports & Fitness Center polling place will serve: Ulla Muller (Last Names A-l), Gladys Abraham Polling Precincts Ulla Muller (Last Names M-z), and Addelita Cancryn precincts.

The Julius Sprauve School polling place in St. John will serve the Guy Benjamin and Julius Sprauve precincts.

St. Croix District

The Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School polling place will serve Florence Williams and the Pearl B. Larsen precincts.

The Juanita Gardine Elementary School polling place will serve the Elena Christian, John F. Kennedy and Juanita Gardine precincts.

The Ricardo Richards Elementary School polling place will serve Lew Muckle and Ricardo Richards.

The St. Croix Educational Complex polling place will serve itself along with Alfredo Andrews, Eulalie Rivera and Evelyn Williams.

The Claude O. Markoe Elementary School polling place will serve itself, and Alexander Henderson Elementary School.
