Bryan, In First Action As PFA Chairman, Appoints Six To WICO Board

ST. THOMAS — Governor Albert Bryan during a Public Finance Authority board meeting on Wednesday appointed six new individuals to the WICO board. Mr. Bryan, who serves as chairman of the PFA, kept three individuals currently serving on the nine-member board. They include April Newland, Vivek Daswani and Edward Thomas. 

The six new members appointed by the governor on Wednesday include former Senator Roosevelt David; Jason Charles, a figure who played a key role in Mr. Bryan’s campaign and works at Alpine Securities as external affairs head; Department of Tourism Commissioner nominee Joseph Boschulte (Mr. Boschulte not too long ago served as WICO’s president and CEO); Conrad Ricky Francois; Rick Carrington, who currently manages the government-owned Carambola Resort on St. Croix and was once an assistant commissioner of the Department of Tourism; and Enrique Rodriguez.

Members that are no longer on the board as a result of Mr. Bryan’s new picks include former Dept. of Tourism Assistant Commissioner Joyce Dore-Griffin (Mrs. Dore-Griffin was let go last week Friday and replaced with new D.O.T. Assistant Commissioner Elizabeth Watley;
former Senator Celestino White; Pedro Cruz, the former Sports, Parks and Recreation commissioner; entrepreneur Michael Watson (Mr. Watson runs the Petite Pump Room Restaurant in Charlotte Amalie); Ricaldo Lettsome and Michelle Nico.Feature Image: WICO’s main office in St. Thomas (Credit: Ernice Gilbert, VIC)
