ST. THOMAS — An incident at the University of the Virgin Islands campus in St. Thomas on Wednesday left a UVI campus officer and the suspect injured, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte said in a release issued late Wednesday.

The incident occurred at about 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday. Mr. Dratte said the 911 emergency call center dispatched patrol units to investigate the matter, however, the suspect had already been transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center to receive care.
