No. 12 Kansas State left no doubt as the Paradise Jam tournament champion, handling Missouri, 82-67, in the championship game Monday night. After a close start and a tied game midway through the first half, the Wildcats went on a 13-0 run to take a 40-27 lead in to the locker room. All-tournament selection Barry Brown, Jr. guided K-State with 19 points, six rebounds, six assists, one block, and one steal. Jordan Geist attempted to spark a comeback for the Tigers, but the first-half lead remained, as Mizzou was unable to pull within single digits. Geist finished with 24 points on 7-of-15 shooting and was named to the all-tournament team. The Wildcats’ Xavier Sneed slammed the door on Missouri with a transition dunk that put Kansas State up by 19 points and served as a sign of the Wildcats’ impending victory.

Oregon State – 64 vs. Penn – 48
All-tournament selection Tres Tinkle scored a tournament-high 32 points as Oregon State defeated Penn, 74-58, to claim third place in the Paradise Jam. The Beavers outscored the Quakers, 43-29, sparked by a 13-0 run returning from the locker room. Penn’s Devon Goodman scored 13 points in the contest and took home all-tournament honors for his three-game performance. The Quakers responded to OSU’s second-half run with a comeback of their own midway through the second period to pull within five. However, after an Oregon State timeout, the Beavers again put distance between themselves and Penn, claiming the win and third place in the Paradise Jam.

Northern Iowa – 54 vs. Old Dominion – 53

In a back and forth contest that wasn’t decided until the final minute, Northern Iowa was able to seal a win over Old Dominion, 54-53, in the fourth-place game Monday at the Paradise Jam. With the game tied at 50-50 and just over two minutes remaining, UNI forced ODU into two turnovers in the final 90 seconds and secured the victory courtesy of an A.J. Green jumper and Isaiah Brown trip to the freethrow line. Green, named to the all-tournament team, led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points and Spencer Haldeman added nine points on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Old Dominion’s Ahmad Caver scored a game-high 24 points as the only Monarch in double-figures. ODU’s Aaron Carver and B.J. Smith pulled in 11 rebounds each for Old Dominion, but the Monarchs were unable to overcome offensive woes, finishing .328 (20-61) from the floor.

Eastern Kentucky – 100 vs. Kennesaw State – 81

Eastern Kentucky topped the century mark in its final outing at Paradise Jam, defeating Kennesaw State 100-81, Monday afternoon. The Colonels outscored the Owls, 61-48, in the second half, surging on a 13-4 run under the nine-minute mark. Nick Mayo finished with a team-high 28 points to lead EKU. KSU’s Tyler Hooker finished with a game-high 29 points, including 13-of-14 from the freethrow line, but EKU’s bench outscored the Owls’, 40-16 to clinch the victory. Jomaru Brown came of the Colonels’ bench, dropping 21 points to compliment Mayo. Eastern Kentucky finished Paradise Jam in seventh place and Kennesaw State finished the tournament in eighth.
