Parole Board To Hold Hearings For And Against Inmates Held In Stateside Facilities

The Parole Board of the U.S. Virgin Islands will convene meetings to hear testimonies from persons for and against Virgin Islands prisoners being held at several off-island prisons, the board announced recently. The hearings will last over the course of several days beginning next month.

The Parole Board said it will meet inmates at the Citrus County Detention Facility on November 26; at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility, located in Tutwiler, MS, on November 28; at the Keen Mountain Correctional Facility in Oakwood, VA on November 30; at Red Onion State Prison in Big Stone Gap, VA; and at the Wallen Ridge State Prison located in Pound, VA.

On December 7 the board will meet with inmates at the Golden Grove Correctional Facility.

All meetings will start at 8:00 a.m. and the afternoon sessions will start at 12:30 p.m., according to the Parole Board.

On November 24 at the Golden Grove Correctional Facility, the board will be taking information of individuals who will be sharing testimony on behalf of or against any inmate located at the Citrus County Detention Center, the Tallahatchie County Correctional Center, the Keen Mountain Correctional Center, the Red Onion State Prison, and the Wallen Ridge State Prison.

The Board will be traveling to the mainland to conduct parole hearings for the following inmates at the following prisons:
