The Department of Education has announced that mandatory orientation for the Julius E. Sprauve School for the 2018-19 school year will take place on Monday at the school beginning at 10:00 a.m.
According to D.O.E., during the designated orientation times, parents/guardians are asked to present immunization records for students and pay required school fees, including $18 for school insurance, $10 for PTSA dues, $24 for Physical Education (PE) uniform set ($12 for PE t-shirt and $12 for PE shorts), $10 for student activity fee for the first child and $5 for each additional child.
Families who do not wish to purchase school insurance must present a photocopy of an insurance card (front and back) on which the student is covered.

Monday, September 17, 2018
10:00 a.m. – Kindergarten – Grade 6 – Cafeteria
11:00 a.m. – Grade 7 and 8 – TBA
The orientation will address all school rules and policies for a successful school year, according to the release. Parents with students in multiple grades are welcome to come at a reasonable time and the office staff will assist.
D.O.E. also announced Monday as orientation day for the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School. Orientation will start at 1:00 p.m. in the Digna Marie Wheatley Gymnasium.
During the designated times, students are asked to present their immunization records and pay required school fees, including $15 for photo ID, $18 for school insurance, $20 for student activity fee, $7 for student planner and $10 for PTSA dues.
Families who do not wish to purchase school accident insurance must present a photocopy of an insurance card (front and back) on which the student is covered.
Students should be in full uniform and accompanied by a parent/guardian.
