Governor Kenneth Mapp is on the U.S. mainland where Government House said he was scheduled to meet with Vice President Mike Pence. Joining the governor is Finance Commissioner and PFA Executive Director Valdamier Collens.

Along with meeting Mr. Pence, the leaders will also hold a meeting with officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to Government House.

In the interim, Attorney General Claude Walker is serving as acting governor while Lieutenant Governor Osbert Potter is out of the territory, and Vice Senate President Nereida Rivera-O’Reilly is serving as acting lieutenant governor as Senate President Myron Jackson is also out of the territory, according to Government House.

The release did not make known what would be discussed at the meetings.
