23-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Vehicle With Gunshot Wound

ST. THOMAS — A man was found lifeless in his vehicle with a gunshot wound to his body on Wednesday morning in the roadway of Solberg, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.

Mr. Dratte said at approximately 10:19 a.m. today, the V.I.P.D.’s central dispatch received a call from an individual who stated that there was a male individual in a vehicle, who appeared to be unresponsive in the aforementioned roadway.

Units from the Richard N. Callwood Command along with units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau (C.I.B.) traveled to the scene and observed a vehicle in the middle of the road with an unresponsive male in the driver’s seat, Mr. Dratte said.

Emergency medical technicians were on scene and concluded that the male did not have any vital signs.

The victim was identified by next of kin as Jamal George, 23.
