Weekend Repairs Close Veterans Postal Annex Facility

Community Center / June 8, 2018

Retail and Post Office Box services will be closed to the public this weekend at the Postal Service’s Veterans Annex (6500 Veterans Drive) due to continued roof and building repairs, the Postal Service announced Friday.

Regular services resume on Monday at the Veterans Drive Annex, with weekday hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for retail services.  There is no change to delivery for customers in above mentioned area as a result of this repair, the Postal Service said.

Customers requiring postal retail services such as buying stamps, sending packages or purchasing money orders, are directed to the following sites on Saturday:

Emancipation Garden Station

5064 Norre Gade

Charlotte Amalie Main Office

9846 Estate Thomas

Havensight

9007 Havensight Mall Site D

Postal officials add that operations will also be shut down at Veterans Drive Postal Annex on Saturday, June 16 at 12:00 and all day on Sunday, June 17 due to roof repairs.  Officials indicate that this should take care of all of the construction work that will interfere with the public.

Regular Saturday retail operations at the Veterans Annex are from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
