Crime / News / Virgin Islands / June 3, 2018

ST. CROIX — Police on Friday arrested and charged Alvin Clements Jr., 27, (seen above) with first-degree rape after a woman reported that she was raped by Mr. Clements.

That’s according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, who in a release issued late Saturday said that the victim walked into the Juan F. Luis Hospital at 10:55 a.m. on Friday, stating that Mr. Clements forcibly had sex with her against her will.

Because of the nature of the incident, scant details were provided by the V.I.P.D., with Mr. Dratte only revealing that Mr. Clements was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending his advisement hearing.
