ST. CROIX — The V.I.P.D. is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a man it said savagely beat his girlfriend, the force’s public information officer, Glen Dratte, announced Tuesday.

According to Mr. Dratte, 33-yeaer-old Jamal Gould is wanted by police on domestic violence charges after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend last Wednesday by punching her several times in the face, and kicking her multiple times while she was on the floor. Mr. Gould also slammed the victim’s head to the floor, according to police. The victim sustained injury to the forehead.

Mr. Gould is a black male that’s 6 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 262 pounds, has a low cut with black hair, and has a brown complexion.

He is known to frequent the Consumer Gas Station and Estate Grove Place, and the town of Frederiksted, according to police.
