ST. CROIX — V.I.P.D. officers are on the hunt for a man police say kidnapped his girlfriend, carried her to three different locations and assaulted her with a tan tan tree stick, according V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, who revealed the incident via press release late Friday.

The assault left visible marks on the victim’s body, according to Mr. Dratte. He said the suspect, 35-year-old Marcus Gomez, is still on the loose and police are requesting the community’s assistance in locating him.

Mr. Gomez is a Hispanic male, height 5 feet, five inches, weighs 135 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and is of a light complexion, according to police. He has a tatoo on his left arm that reads, “one love” and “little nico, ” another on his chest that says, “Naheema “, and “Olga Lopez” on his upper back, according to police.

Police are asking community members who come in contact with Mr. Gomez, to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau, DV Unit at 340 778 2211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 (TIPS) or 911.
