Alden Alicia Pickering, known for all these years as Alicia Hansen, is seeking to have her name changed officially to Alicia “Chuckie” Hansen. But the Democratic Party and some Board of Election members are contending that she might not be eligible to be on the ballot in November because she’s essentially committed fraud all these years using a name on many documents that was never legal. Are they correct? Should Alicia Alden Pickering be allowed to run for a seat in the Senate after using what some allege to be a falsified name all these years? Here’s a taste of a Board of Elections meeting debate on Monday between Adelbert Bryan, above, and St. Thomas Board of Election Chairman Arturo Watlington.
