ST. CROIX — Two men wanted on separate charges — one for allegedly raping a minor and the other for robbing a tourist at Frederiksted Hotel — turned themselves in last week, according to Glen Dratte, the V.I.P.D.’s Public Information Officer.

Elvis Edwards, above left, — a registered sex offender — who was born in St. Thomas but lives here and is known to frequent Sion Farm, Castle Coakley, Peter’s Rest and Angels Bar in the Golden Grove area, turned himself in on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. He was wanted on rape charges.

Mr. Dratte said Mr. Edwards was remanded to the detention center at the Golden Grove Correctional Facility after failing to make bail of $75,000, pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

And Jason A. Dickerson, above right, who goes by the moniker “Jungle”, appeared with his attorney at the V.I.P.D.’s B Command Zone at Mars Hill in Fredericksted on Wednesday to turn himself in, according to Mr. Dratte. Mr. Dickerson, a black 32-year-old, was wanted by police for first degree robbery after robbing a tourist.

After failing to make bail of $75,000, Mr. Dickerson was remanded to the detention center at the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
