ST. CROIX — Downtown Christiansted will soon come alive as one of the many Jump Up! events — bringing thousands of residents to the town and thereby bolstering the bottom line of businesses — happens Friday, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
According to a press release the Virgin Islands Police Department issued late Wednesday, at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and until the completion of the event, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:
- Parking is prohibited on King Street beginning at the intersection of King and King Cross Street.
- Parking is prohibited on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.
- Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, between King and Company Streets.
- Parking is prohibited on Queen Cross Street, from the intersection of King and Queen Cross Street to the parking area adjacent to the Boardwalk.
Vehicles found parked in the restricted areas will be cited and towed at the owner’s expense, the release stated.
