Man Arrested On Domestic Violence And Burglary Charges In Harborview

News / Virgin Islands / March 12, 2015

St. Croix police have arrested Dejani Plante on domestic violence and burglary charges in connection with an incident that took place at the home of his ex-girlfriend on March 8.

According to VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson, officers were dispatched to the Harborview Apartments at 1:32 a.m. on March 8 in response to a call from a woman being assaulted. The complainant told police her former boyfriend, Plante, had broken into her apartment using a knife. An argument ensued between the two and the woman said Plante assaulted her.

The following day, March 9, at about 12 p.m., officers with the Domestic Violence Unit arrested Plante on charges of domestic violence-related second degree assault and burglary.

No bail was set and Plante was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
