St. Croix Man Leaves Visible Injuries On Wife After Beating, Evades Police

Vibert “Eddie” Gilbert is wanted in connection with a domestic violence assault.

A St. Lucian-born man living on St. Croix who police say beat his wife leaving “visible injuries” on her body, has been evading police capture as Domestic Violence detectives continue to pursue him in connection with the assault, police spokesperson Melody Rames announced Friday.

Vibert George, also known as “Eddie,” is described as a 26-year-old black male with straight hair, and is said to frequent the Front Line Night Club and the Louis E. Brown Apartments, St. Croix police say.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of George’s whereabouts to call detectives at 340-712-6086, 911 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
