Ballots Still Being Counted Late Wednesday Evening

Breaking News / Featured / News / Politics / Virgin Islands / November 5, 2014

As of late Wednesday night, ballots in the St. Croix District were still being counted at the Virgin Islands Elections System office in Sunny Isle.

A large group of concerned citizens, mostly from Sen. Alicia “Chucky” Hansen’s camp, had gathered, along with the embattled Senator, to observe Elections officials scan the remaining ballots through the DS200 machines. Furthermore, ballots containing stickers, Straight Party symbol voting and some write-in names, remained to be hand counted.

The latest polling results reported, as of 1:52 a.m. Wed., Nov. 5 are below.
