One of Two Suspects in 'Exquisite Barbershop and Bar' Robbery Extradited to USVI

ST. THOMAS — One of two men suspected of robbing a barbershop in St. Thomas was apprehended in Baltimore, Maryland and extradited to the USVI to face charges, the police department has announced. 

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Friday at approximately 3:15 p.m., members of the V.I.P.D. Warrant Unit arrested Shemar Coward, age 20 of Water Bay Condos, and charged him with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, first-degree assault, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Coward is accused of being one of two suspects who robbed Exquisite Barbershop and Bar located in Vitraco Park at gunpoint on May 25.

Unable to make bail of $250,000, Coward was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
