ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department has announced the arrest of a former employee of Ranger American, LLC, accused of stealing a significant sum of money during his employment with the security firm.

Etuenne Theodore, 27, faces charges of obtaining money by false pretense and grand larceny following an investigation by the VIPD's Economic Crimes Unit.

The investigation, which began on August 28, 2023, uncovered that Theodore allegedly stole $6,910 in cash between May 23, 2023, and July 11, 2023. According to police reports, the thefts occurred while he was responsible for making cash deposits at First Bank and Oriental Bank ATMs in his role at Ranger American.

Theodore turned himself in at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station on April 22, 2024, at approximately 11:19 a.m., where he was arrested without incident. Following his arrest, he was processed and his bail was set at $20,000. Unable to post bail, Theodore was remanded to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility, awaiting his Advice of Rights hearing.
