Former Limetree Bay Man Camp Resident on the Loose after Hit and Run Incident that Left two Minors Badly Injured

ST. CROIX — Police are on the lookout for a man who was once a resident of the Limetree Bay man camp after an accident that he was involved in left two minors badly injured.

According to the V.I.P.D., an arrest warrant was issued last week for Pedro Rivera, the driver of a vehicle who crashed into a scooter operated by two juveniles in downtown Frederiksted on September 22. Both juveniles were seriously injured in the crash and had to be airlifted for treatment, according to the V.I.P.D.

Officers attempted to execute the arrest warrant at the defendant's Limetree man camp residence and discovered that he had left the territory. The officers, working in collaboration with office of the Attorney General, obtained an extradition warrant for Mr. Rivera, and are presently working to locate him and escort him back to the territory to face the charge.
